    Considering a 1999 440 Express Bridge

We own a 1994, I have not had any issues. When I pulled the bilge vents the opening was sealed with epoxy. I resealed with epoxy and then with 4200 JIK. Great boat with an immense amount of room. We love ours.

440 express bridge forward emergency pump

Remove the stairs to the aft bedroom. Look just aft of your sump pit. That is where I believe my forward emergency bilge pump is located.

Sea ray 440 express bridge thoughts

We own a 94 440 EB. It is great for our needs, we have two children and find the forward/aft stateroom locations real nice for privacy. I have removed the engine vents to find the hull epoxied from the factory. I of course re-epoxied the hull and caulked the vents back into place. The...

    In the Market

Frank d We purchased a 94 440eb, what a great layout, truly underrated imho. When I removed the engine vent I was pleasantly surprised to see the factory had epoxied the core. When i replaced the windlass, yep the factory had epoxied the core there as well. Work your way around the boat...

    Good Windlass....

Gerry, with the rope chain model you still get the free drop. Boy that chain takes off! I couldn't imagine how fast a chain locker would clear out. I wanted to purchase a Maxwell windlass, however looking at the amp draw it required was more than the sea ray factory wiring could handle. I...

    Good Windlass....

And to the op, my rope release was two allens on the side of the unit. Again, call the company and they will walk you through the specifics of your model

    Good Windlass....

Our 1994 Good windlass just lost the motor. Rather than replace the motor we chose to upgrade to the rope/chain combo unit they have. Machining was perfect, operation perfect always helpful on the phone. If you don’t need an all chain rode they are as good as any windlass out there. Hope...

Post your Stay-at-Home and Winter Projects

Cop and stee, It is a process called epoxy coating, much the same as clear bar tops. We poured clear epoxy down an immediately started using tinted epoxy. There really is no right or wrong to it. Pintrest and you tube have great videos. This was our second project using this technique. The...

We decided to refinish our dinette table yesterday, pretty much the last trace of 1994 we had left on the boat.

    44DA or DB

We have had our 440EB four seasons now. Even though i am a leg amputee, we love the bridge in this size boat. Most of our time is spent in the huge cockpit or down two steps into the salon. I find the da steps into the cabin small, steep and awkward. Lots more effort for me to come and go...

    Grills

I will have to look for the exact model, ours has been replaced by the current generation electric. We have the smaller grill , fits 6 ears of corn, or 6 burgers at time. The cast iron grates burn off real nice, disposable grease tray, and parts are readily available. We did replace the heat...

    Grills

We have the weber electric grill. It has served us well for the last 6 years. We cook everything from 1 1/2 inch filet mignon to french toast. The electric really lets you fine tune the heat, more so than the gas version. We have been able to bake biscuits in the morning too. This grill...

    Best Glue to re-attach Formica

Just use an epoxy and clamp and clean. Superglue may work although it may be a bit too thin

Rebedding Deck Hatches not going as planned...

1st and foremost... seal all the exposed wood with epoxy, even that part on top that pulled away, thenI would think your safe enough to use a caulk, I prefer the UV 3M caulk. Others will be along shortly. It looks like your timing is good.

    Crossing Lake Michigan

If it helps any, the boat you are buying belongs to a good friend and dockmate. They love the sport, wash it every weekend, spend a lot of time running her, including many crossings as you said. Filters, oil, buff wax everyseason. I have no reason to believe you will have anything but a...
