NEED HELP! I can't figure out how to search the forum very well. I know I have seen a thread showing a fridge replacement in the 48. I have 2009 48 Sundancer and need to replace my salon fridge (already did the cockpit). Norcold or Vitrifrigo? Model? Any help is sincerely apprciated.
I will say that is the exact same thing my brother said about the 55. The bow rise is just ...none. Pretty much one of the only boats I would trade my 48 for.
First I apologize in advance as this post may irritate a few Captains out there as it is a couple of months away, but kinda need to start thinking/planning on it now.
Christmas Lights. Any thoughts on the best applications for our boats? Any pictures and install tips? Thanks in advance.
Just called the dealer to get some more information. They sent them out to a company here in Seattle called "Flame Spray" (sp?).
They have done this on all the boats that show issues with the seals and they have not seen any come back with same issue after it was done. As far as what hey put...
No. Actually our local dealer, Union Marine (formerly Lake Union Sea Ray) came up with it. The problem we found were the seals that Mercury used on the pods. They would cut grooves into the shafts and that is where the water intrusion came from.
I have had zero issues with the pods since doing the ceramic coating. Annual maintenance is done annually (shockingly to some i know - LOL) and there is no intrusion. Highly recommend it!
I did do the dash speakers. They work great. The deck has four zones to control volume. The four i have is
1. Cockput
2. Stern
3. Bow
4. Dash
It makes a big difference having the dash speakers as in long runs, without them, i would have the stereo up quite loud and if anyone was in the cockpit...
