    Looking at a 89 340 What type of cooling system will this boat have. Completely fresh water from the bay or a fresh water and antifreeze closed system combo. Was there an option in that year. Twin 7.4,s. shaft drive Mercruisers. Any help is always good.

    97 270 Dancer A/C

    Thanks a bunch guys. It would be used when on shore power at this time and a good fan when out at sea. I think a newer 300-340 is on our wish list. Turning 60 in Dec and starting to find the humidity harder to take each year. A boat with air and a Genny seems to be the way to go. Hope everyone...

    97 270 Dancer A/C

    Would it be possible to retro fit an A/C unit in my 96 270. We live in southern ontario and this summer has been brutal. If We cant sleep at night the boating season isn't much fun.

    Winterization ?

    Hello I am able to store my 96 270 Dancer in heated storage this year. Just drain all water from engine as possible, and empty fresh water tank and drain plumbing system. Add fuel conditioner on last outing, First time with heated storage so just asking opinions. Thanks for any imput.

    Battery Top Up

    Is it normal to have to add/top up battery electrolyte once or twice during the season. I leave my 20 amp charger on all the time when hooked up to shore power. 2 Batteries. 1Starter/ 1 House deep cycle.

    Hi everybody Thinking of moving up from the 1996 270 to a late 80,s 340 What should I be looking for as far as the age of the boat. I hate going backwards in years but we really like the room and wide beam.

    Charger Question.

    Why would sea ray knowingly use a charger in 1996 that obviously never shuts off and doesn't go into a float mode. This was a very popular model of boat , You would think that they must of had numerous complaints over the years of fried batteries. Its a 20 amp charger but only showing 3-5 amps...

    Are you suggesting joining new wire with plug cut off to the existing wire that has been removed from old charger (that comes from breaker panel) just with quick connects are what would be proper.

    I switch to house battery when away from shore power as to save one battery for starting. I have 2 deep cycle 31 series batteries

    we are generally plugged in at various ports but occasionally on the hook for maybe 2 nights max. We use a portable Honda 2000 if needed.
