Hello All, I have what I believe is a faulty alternator, port side. With only the port engine batteries are not charging, but with only the starboard engine running the all 3 banks are charging. I assume I need to take out the alternator and take it to a shop to be tested and rebuilt...

The engine turns over slow, like it's not getting power. When we got back to the slip, it was plugged into shore power with the battery charger turned on. As soon as I hit the emergency start with the engine fires up.

Thanks for the input. Would that account for the engine starting after sitting for 4-5 hours last night?

Thanks for the help. I did switch the cords at both the pedestals and in the locker. I also checked the breakers in the locker and all connections are clean and tight. I'm going to use a volt meter to check all the connections. Thanks again for all the suggestions. Mike
