Hi all,
I purchased a GoWise PS1003-NP inverter. Our boat is an 90 Searay 350.
We would like to run the outlets on inverter power this winter so as to charge our phones, run the onboard PC and the Television when were away from the dock.
I still wish for these outlets to be powered as normal on...
Our cruiser is 90 model Sundancer 350 with the two white lights on the mast and a running white light on the stern bulkhead and finally the red and green bow lights respectfully.
I thought when in "Nav light mode" all running lights including the stern light are become illuminated. That is...
Hi all,
I believe my holding tank is 20gallons. We have three lights next to the commode. I believe empty, half and red for full. Only the 1/2 illuminates ever. When we pump out, only about 5 gallons get extracted. Never any odor from vent.
Boat is a 90 350 sundancer which later became the 370...
Hi all,
Our newly installed 16000 BTU AC/Heater is working great for summer Air Conditioning but runs us out with heat in the winter. Lowest I can set the remote or state room control is 61. Can this be set lower?
So guessing I should consider myself lucky. I have both 454's out of our 90 sundancer 350. While in the engine bay, I noticed the stbd raw water hose from the cock to pump to be internally rotten and plugged. See picture. I was warned to inspect these regularly. Oops... I neglected to do so...
I feel stupid asking this but how do you check the oil level in V-Drive transmissions?
They are Hurth transmissions. Engines running? Engines off? etc.. Obviously I see the dip sticks. Automatic transmissions in cars require the engine to be running at idle to check. Same true for Hurth?
Hi All,
I have both of my 90 454's out of a 39.5 350 in for rebuilds. My engine builder recommended upgrading carbs to electric chokes. Any advantages?
So I have a 330 Horse Merc 454 (Carb) in a 1990 Searay 350 with a noisy and rough running (1800 hours) stbd engine. I would try and fix but don't feel good outcome.
I found a builder called "ATK High Performance Engines in Grand Prairie Texas. They have a less than perfect BBA rating. I can't...
Hi all,
We have recently added an item to our bucket list.
"Swim platform".
Problems? Yes
She is an older 90 searay 350 39.9' She's in great shape.
We love it but so desire a swim platform. Would love to hear some personal experiences,
Opinions and mostly advice. Thanks
We run our a/c at 70F 24/7 starting in March and Ending in October.
1) What lifespan do A/C pumps "Typically" Last? if using 24/7 during warm months
2) does the impeller have to be replaced or is there routine maintenance?
3) What size replacement pump should I consider for a 16000 BTU and a...
I just replaced my forward a/c unit with a 115volt 16000 btu Wabasto FCF. Additionally wired in a Micro-air smart start. I followed the schematic using the link provided with kit..
How canI tell if it’s working or not? I’m running two EU2200 Honda’s in parallel and can’t seem to tell the...
Hi,
Anyone know what size duckbill valves are common to a 1990 Searay Sundancer 350 with the vacuflush toilet? It appears either 1.5" or 2" valves are available at local West Marine.
I'm changing out the shower sump box and struggling with the hose connections.
I managed to fit up the air conditioners condensation lines but the outlet and shower hoses look like mini pool vac hoses and won't reach. I measure 1" ID. Everything I see on-line is for 1 1/2". Any other options...
The title pretty much gets right to the point. My 90 sundancer has dual A/C's. Fwd unit is a 16000 BTU and the aft is a 8000 BTU (I think).
I had thought the start feature was to power up the seawater pump prior to powering up the compressors. I noticed water flowing out of vessel in run mode...
Hi all another post by me.
with two weeks time on hand for obvious reasons, i’ll be removing the tired quicksilver 7.5 generator and installing a 2015 120 hour Kohler 5ECD. As best as possible I’ll post pictures.
The difficulties observed thus far are exhaust direction and wiring reach. Thus...
Starboard engine our 90 Sea Ray Sundancer continually has on going milky looking oil. Two oil changes since last February, 110 hours now have accumulated with no operational issues. Still the same creamy looking oil noted. Today a third oil change. Closed cooling antifreeze level stays normal...
Amazing. I tried hard to ensure the raw water sea pumps get reinstalled in the correct orientation. Bad by me and did both Star and Port and now confused which hose goes where????
I marked the original water hoses on the housing. Problem is the housings are in the trash and on the way to the...
Fired the engines right up and she was running great. Weather today was decent so I decided to take my 90 searay 350 for a short cruise. I was Idling out inside the marina when all of a sudden I heard and felt a loud bang. Scared I decided to continue on just to test for vibration. Yeap...
Hi All,
With the extreme heat (95F everyday) I've push my AC Units to the max and now both are inoperative. The rear unit is "Marine Airrrr" 6000BTU and the Fwd Unit is a "Marine Airrrr" 16000BTU. I noticed no sea water coming out of fwd or rear exit. I did try connecting the seawater pump...
