Mine came from Port Supply, which is West Marine. You just have to be a dealer to buy from them. My marina got it shipped next day to my boat with no shipping charges.
I'm in south Mississippi, the heat can be oppressive here. My 300DA has a full black camper package. Right now I have the back camper sections off and stored below, the front section is on but all the windows are rolled up and only get zipped down when it rains. It's not hot at all. I can't see...
My son is 2, if he had fallen in that Gorilla would have been begging for a tranquilizer.
Taking out out the gorilla, no brainier. Responsibility here goes to parents and the zoo. Sad situation all around.
It probably lost prime, the easiest thing to try is running the boat in plane and forcing water all the way into the system. You can also prime it by loosening the inlet hose and allowing water inside the pump.
Anyone replace the trim molding on the swim platform ('04) and remember how many feet you had to order? I'd like to order today, won't be on the boat til Saturday to measure.
Not sure I'm understanding the cost benefit here. For 2k you can have a 3G set up w/ seven inch display with Gps and df, weatherproof, water proof, and dedicated to the boat. I can see having the wifi as a side feature but not as a replacement for a dedicated helm unit. I've never been one to...
Interested in this as well. Really though I am considering removing it completely and using the space for something else. My son would be the only one watching tv and I have a good portable player that he can use to move around the boat if necessary.
This is confusing the hell out of me. I have a brand new Suzuki 2.5 four stroke. It leaks a tiny bit of oil from two small holes just above the lower unit. It is definitely motor oil, I'm using that purple stuff so based on the color I know it is not lower gear oil. I always store the motor on...
I use the weaver davit system and it works great, haven't heard anything bad about the Hurley system, I think it comes down to space. I dry stack so vertical storage is my only option. I bought a cheap 9' pvc aluminun floor inflatable off eBay, think I paid around $450 for that and around $750...
Thanks and same to you!
Make sure you put a piece of tape to mark the 12 o'clock position on your steering wheel when your drives are dead straight, and know how many turns it takes to go hard over in either direction (for me it is exactly one and a half turns). That'll help you get back to...
Great idea in the topside co2 monitor.Wife and I took a nice long shakedown cruise yesterday. My plan was to spend a lot more time getting things ready this spring but with weather, sickness (month long bout with sinus and bronchial infection), work, honey dos, and all the fun stuff that comes...
Mine are super tight, I haven't had to remove them so they've been in since I bought them. I sprayed them with some fluid film last time I was at the boat, we will see.
I replaced my 25' chain with 120', and respliced the rope just in case. I usually anchor in 5-20' so I will almost always use chain only. Works great because my windlass doesn't like rope.
I have the weaver David system and I strap my 2.5 zuki down on the bow. On my 300da that's pretty much the only option other than hanging on the transom or keeping it on the inflstable. I'm still deciding what to do but I'll likely go with the swivel bracket and transom arc.
With power cord, sun cover, and ram ball mount. No chart chip. Like new only used a few months as a back up. I have it on eBay, for anyone who might be interested here. I'll post a few pics when I get a chance...
