Yes you would need a minimum of a 2 bank charger, one for each bank of 2 batteries. The 1250 I installed is a 3 bank charger (the same as the toaster I removed) and I am only using 1 and 2. The 3rd connection is available if I want to add a 3rd set of batteries for something in the future.
I know this is a somewhat old thread, but wanted to add my vote for the ProNautic series. I've been looking at chargers for months and couldn't make up my mind or trust what I was hearing and reading until I found this thread. Once again this forum has saved me huge amounts of grief, time and...
I was just about to start a new thread about Boat Command but decided to search first to avoid repetition and found this one. I too think Boat Command is fantastic, a great concept and implementation.
I bought mine last Thanksgiving during their Black Friday special, which was a great...
Just to be double sure, are you replacing the black foam on the outside of the frame like in the pic below? Mine isn't leaking yet but it's cracked and has shrunk away from some of the edges. I'd like to replace it before the inevitable leaking begins. Glad to know we have a current part...
From what I have been able to determine, it's necessary to remove the wing nuts under the top padded frame from underneath and lift it up in order to pull the instrument panel forward and work on the gauge wiring. Unlike later models, there is no usable access panel behind the instrument areas...
Hi Matt. Sorry to change the subject but we have the same year/model and I need to replace the entire bimini and framing. I noticed in your sig pic that you have a forward cover exactly like I would like to add. Did yours come with the boat or did you find someone who could frame it so you have...
Agreed. And thanks again for the additional insight. Thanks to this thread I'm now comfortable with starting the engines as they are until the day comes for new carbs. Now on to the next mystery of figuring out why the manifolds on the port engine are heating up to about 215 degrees and creating...
Thanks everyone for the VERY helpful info and recommendations. Once again this forum has saved me a TON of money, wasted time and grief. As with most other subjects, I should have just looked here first instead of spending all that time talking to others on my pier. I was even able to educate...
Hello all. I would like to resurrect this thread with one more question. Are you seeing issues with burning up the starters cranking them for that long? Some of the mechanics on my pier just cringe when they see me cold crank the engines for even more than one or two revolutions trying to get...
Aloha all. Been living aboard our Sundancer for a few weeks now and loving it. One of our first tasks is to replace the main Rule 2000 pump and switch. Have been researching whether to try the automatic model and getting rid of the float switch. Can't find any useful online reviews or other...
Well, I guess it’s time for me to say hello and to step into this thread with the first of many upcoming posts. My wife and I are proud new owners of a well maintained 1991 350 DA (labeled as a 370) which will be our new year-round home. It’s sitting comfortably in its slip in a Honolulu harbor...
I don't mean to hijack this thread so I will try to keep my reply brief. My wife and I are new to the whole Sea Ray world at the moment. Just now buying the Sundancer. Will be leaving cold Michigan behind on Jan 5 for the permanent move to HI to live aboard our new home. We are in the Keehi...
As a newer member who hasn't even started posting yet, I was still going through withdrawal all weekend. Thanks for all the work getting the site moved over and going again.
