Did you look behind the TV in the master stateroom? I seem to remember it passing through there when I was removing the TV. I finished mine off with thin cedar planks and store towels and some linens in there.

I have an 02 diesel westerbeke. Does your impeller face the port side? I don't have a difficult time getting mine out. I loosen the bolts with a small wrench and then remove them with my fingers. This is never really difficult for me. IS it the cover or the actual impeller that is hard to remove?

I too routed my galley sink overboard like Drafter. I feel it keeps so much growth and nasty stuff out of the shower sump. We cook often and washing dishes and plates made that thing a nasty petri dish. YES Drafter. The measure twice cut once motto became measure 14 times and cut once. :p

Which covers did you order for the windlass deck controls? I ordered the wrong size and had to send them back. I need to replace because my plastic ones are brittle.

I am sorry to say Atrick a few of us on here have done the windshield repairs to stop leaks. That trim piece is cosmetic and the window needs removed and rebedded. A complete scrape of the glass and channel and then they did a acetone cleaner then primer then sealant. It was a rare job that I...

MY 2002 has both AC units running into the shower sump. I prefer that hum over the bilge pumps going off. I also ran my galley directly overboard. It is much better than running into the sump and all the food from the sink makes for a bacteria farm much faster.

adding to what Pgeee said. A common cause for concern is moisture if the railings were not rebed or also a soft deck. They will likely check a little extra around the stern swim platform and the anchor. Common spots that water can do some major damage if undetected.

It looks like one of the mounting bolts on my aftercooler. It may have come off without the paint coming off. Someone may have forgotten to tighten it. They are murder to get to on my port motor.

You'll love owning that boat if the diesels are perfect. I have the Cummins 6CTA in a 2002. I had an insurance survey done on it in the Baltimore area of the Chesapeake Bay last spring 2022 and it was valued at 185k. I see Saltwater boats go for a little less. I have a bow thruster and my...

My engine strainers are below the waterline. ALL the 400's I know are also. I have a sea flush funnel and I can blow air through the strainer to blow our weeds from my intake from the main engine strainers. Close Sea cock. Open strainer. Remove basket. Shop vac suck out all the water. Put funnel...

I have the 2002 Cummins 6cta. My port engine is about 650 and my starboard is 720. I have been trying to adjust my idle and can't get the starboard to go any lower. MY screw is almost bottomed out. It does not look like the idle adjustment in this video. Mine has the bolt upside down and the cap...

I did learn a LOT about ducting from this experience. I will now gone into the master stateroom and reconnect the ducts for better airflow. My ducts on my main unit were kinked and compromised airflow significantly. Just in case anyone is wondering, The outlet from the 16K btu unit in the...

I replaced my Antenna really easily and used the gain that comes with this instead of the OLD Glomex gain controls. My TV is mounting on the door to the cabinet on the Starboard side and the Coax is run to the arch. I have power there for the gain booster. It works REALLY well...

The sealant is under the window glass. You will need to remove the window, clean the underside of it, clean and strip the residue off the frame and then prep and reseal the frame to the glass. If you are in the Chesapeake Bay area I also recommend the company that Scooper and I used. For the...

I would think you need an engineer to do any real number crunching. How much weight? Is it on a fixed mount in the center of the deck? Or is it distributed across the deck. A total weight rating and a lbs per footprint would likely be needed. I can not imagine anyone would sign off on how...

That would concern me more than a little bit. It appears to be more than a little spongy. Peronally I wouldn't feel safe hauling my dinghy on that with the bouncing of waves and water getting inside it adding more weight. I removed my old platform (a 340 Sundancer) and had it reglassed from...
