Update.. Mechanic found corrosion with Cap and Rotor. Cleaned it. Starts on 1st crank now. Recommends replacing. Unfortunately, both engines were tuned last year. I guess saltwater and engines don't mix well. :)

I have mechanic coming out and will update incase it helps anyone else.

HiDoug, no worries. I did option "B". Place in neutral, pump throttle and left in fwd position while attempting to start.

I just came back from changing fuel filters. The engine was hard to start, but idled fine. If I throttle up in neutral it sputters. Sometimes the idle got stuck around 2000. Anyway, I tested the iac by checking for 10 - 14 ohm, found that test online. Iac had 10-11. Not sure if that's a...

Someone suggested fuel filter. Think that would cause similar symptoms? If so, I can probably swap IAC between motors, right?

03 280da, twin merc 5L mpi. Port motor started sputtering on way home, 45 min ride. It died as approach no wake and would crank but no start. Next day started up no problem but sputters when you goose the throttle. Any ideas?
