Are people buying new Sea Rays?

Props to you if you are! Just wondering if new Sea Rays are moving. I bought my 230 SLX new but I think I've been priced out of the market. $200,000 for a SLX 260 . . .

Lazy Daze, Sea Ray and Peters Marine

You are an extremely helpful resource! I wish my local dealer was so knowledgeable and passionate. Best of wishes to you. The closure is extremely perplexing from my perspective. Here is a little more from the owner on facebook- still doesn't make a lot of sense to me as an outsider...

What discounts are you getting off a New Sea Ray?

Stopped in to my local dealer yesterday- they have a new SDX250 in stock and they offered 10% off MSRP without me even asking. I'm sure I could negotiate a greater discount . . . maybe the boat market is starting to cool off, coupled with the end of the season.

    230 SLX Thread!

Maybe I'm just talking to myself in this thread, but in the off chance people are doing research on this model, here's my 5 year review. Bought new on September 14, 2016. Navy blue/ tan stripe with ivory interior. Boating exclusively on Fort Loudon Lake, dry stack storage at the marina. Only...

What discounts are you getting off a New Sea Ray?

I'm surprised that anyone is getting significant discounts. It isn't 2016 anymore. Around here, it used to be pretty much standard 20% off MSRP, maybe more if you were buying a leftover. Now, it is MSRP and there is almost zero new inventory. 5-10% off MSRP, in this market, sounds like a...

    Tennessee River boating

Volunteer Landing Duncan’s Knoxville Yacht Club Louisville Landing Concord Marina Fox Road Marina Probably some others I’m forgetting. None of them are dumps. Concord is the nicest, at least from what I can tell, with a very nice restaurant up the hill. Last I heard they all have long...

    230 SLX Thread!

Another year with the 230SLX and it's still a great boat. Depth gauge transducer had to be replaced at the beginning of the season. Yesterday, the toggle switch for the bilge blower broke. Gotta get that fixed ASAP. It's still under warranty for about 9 days LOL. Other than that, it's been...

    SPX 190 OB or 210?

Yes there is a significant difference between 19and 21. I only boat on lakes so I’ll let others comment on the SPX offshore, but when I was test driving boats there was a marked difference in ride. Conventional wisdom is to buy your second boat first. SPX is a great boat; make sure you read...

    The used boat market

Nuts here in Knoxville as well. Local dealer is almost completely sold out of new and used Sea Rays. Lots more boats on the water due to lack of kids' sports and cancelled vacations. Same thing is happening to bicycle sales.

Need feedback on purchasing next boat

Where are you located? A nice ‘89 300 just popped up on Knoxville Craigslist. I have no affiliation https://knoxville.craigslist.org/boa/d/knoxville-1989-sea-ray-300-sundancer/7133522452.html

    Speedometer question bravo 3

I do have SmartCraft. This problem, and other reasons, have me considering VesselView Mobile. But I've read the Bluetooth connection doesn't work well, and the app has lots of bugs.

    Speedometer question bravo 3

350 Mag/Bravo 3. Last season the speedometer quit working; the pitot was clogged with debris. Cleared it out, and now it works- sort of. It is sluggish and lags quite a bit behind actual speed. This happens both accelerating and decelerating. At a steady speed it is about 3 mph off GPS...

To go to two batteries or not...

I really like having two batteries, for peace of mind but also for the ability to extend the use of electrical powered devices- not only the radio and interior lights but electric air pumps for water toys. Simple battery switch should suffice.

    230 SLX Thread!

Got the boat out yesterday for the first time this year. Tied up with a bunch of buddies and a coworker who has a 250 SLX. Enjoyed the sunshine and water. And beer! Boat continues to run fine. Gelcoat seems to be holding up well. Except I found two small (less than half a penny in...
