One shop also recommended that I just replace it with the new housings (upper/lower) and use the current internals given I have only 300 hours. That would be around $5K+tax. Thank you all for feedback. The lower unit has developed advanced corrosion due to electrolysis. I was hoping the unit could be sand blasted and repainted but was told it should be replaced. This type of corrosion on Bravo 3 is pretty common from what I heard. Thanks.

I just got a quote to replace my bravo III lower unit + repainting the rest of the outdrive, and wanted to see if it is within a reasonable range. The props are fine. Including tax and all the fees , the estimate is $10K. The lower unit is $4,800 but things add up so quickly. I am in Seattle.

Yeah the first picture was taken with a zoom lens to bring out the beauty of the mountain. The second shot from a drone is much better recognizable. This was one of the best trips but as our family discussed, we would need a bigger boat for anything more than this. :)

Yup and actually saw your boat as well. The slip had your last name on it but you weren't visible so I decided not to bother you. This was a fantastic trip but we realized we do need a bigger boat to stay longer.

I finally got to make a few phone calls and found the labor rate is $175/hour and it takes 2.5 hours to change the lube on a single outdrive plus a hall out fee of $250 + parts, and of course a tax :)

Hi, Can someone recommend a place to get the outdrive lube changed? Mine is moored at Newport Yacht which is next to Seattle Boat but haven't used their service. Let me know if you have any recommendation. I believe the boat has to come out for this service. Thank you. -Cal
