There is a GFI located in a cabinet under the TV set in the salon. That might be tripped. I found that out the hard way after searching for the cause of the electrical outlet located to the left of the TV cabinet not working. I figured it was a GFI tripped but it took me an hour to find it.
I Have a drippy sink faucet in the master head. Trying to get the cartridge out, no luck so far and I don't want to break anything by turning a wrench to hard. Does anyone know the brand or manufacturer of the faucet?
Check the maintenance records for when the valves were adjusted. Also, records for Turbo, After Cooler and Heat Exchanger maintenance. If you find no records of those maintenance items, you might be looking at a roughly $20K expense in your future. We own a 2003 480DB, and they are great...
I have a GHS hydraulic swim platform. It works well but one side (STBD) moves up and down slower than the other side (Port). Anyone have the same problem? Is there a solution?
Thank you CLC3. We have Sub-Zero fridge and freezer now and the fridge has died. I will check out the Vitrifrigo and see if they have one that will fit.
We are going to have to replace the fridge in our SR-480. I think we want to replace it with dual voltage 110/12-24V that will switch between shore-generator power and battery power. Have any of you done that? If so, what brand and model did you get? Glad you did it? How about the 12-24v...
Congratulations on your ownership of the 2003 SR-480. Same boat we own and we love it. Lots to learn because it's a very different boat than your SR-370. We've had ours for 18 months and are still learning. Hope you love it.
It could be a faulty toggle switch. Mine does the same thing periodically. The PO told me about it and said his solution (which worked) was to toggle the switch up and down rapidly and that's how he got it to work. I sprayed electrical contact cleaner on the switch connections and that seems...
Thanks QT. I'm using a two-step step-ladder from Home Depot. It works for me pretty well and I can fold it up and set it out of the way once I'm in the engine compartment. I might just stick with that.
My 480 does not have a ladder down to the engine compartment. I use a two-step ladder now but I would rather have something a bit more stable. Did your boat come with a ER ladder? If not, what do you use? Mike
