    It is only a 3/4” thru hull that sandwich mounts (no screws)and would not have left enough threads for the ball valve to thread on if I went thru the thicker pad, the glass was 3/4” thick where I went thru, so plenty strong but I understand what your saying.

    I ended up installing it under the sink at the galley.Had to pull the refrigerator out and both bulkheads on each side of the fridge also had to make a floor for it to sit on. I used a Webasto 6000 unit and it does a great job, it was a lot of work but worth it in the end.

    Thank you for your response, already checked. Out the under v-bunk (not deep enough) but the mid cabin location sounds promising, I’ll pull that panel and see what’s behind it.
