Hello all, I am pulling the motor out and have misplaced my Seloc manual, all electrical and control cables have been removed, I only have 3 bolts to unscrew then I can lift her out. Does anything else need to come off before i lift it out? The boat has a closed cooling system, with thru hull...

ha ha ha lol, just seeing all the comments now. Its been a busy summer for me. I am not for certain but I can clearly see the ground from inside the cabin I believe the cause of this hole is something I never thought someone would do to a boat but I suspect that the previous owner decided to...

    Fiber patching method

Hello, need to repair hole in boat it’s about the diameter of my index finger 1/2 in or slightly bigger. Would marine Tex putty be the right type of application for this size patch or should I still use cloth and resin? Thx for your input

Hello I have a 80's Model Sundancer 245 and was in the process of trying to get it started after its been dormant for years. I had a mechanic come attempt to fire it up and upon his inspection he recommends new points and distributor cap. Furthermore he told me that I should just upgrade to a...

Can a stuck motor be turn from the prop?

Oil pan is full of clean oil so I'm not sure why there isn't any up top, but she finally turned over for me. Not really sure what the issue was but I couldn't get the Outdrive off it only pulled apart from the case 1/4". The previous owner stated that when he bought it the person he bought it...

Can a stuck motor be turn from the prop?

Yep going to pull the Outdrive this weekend, currently won't shift into forward or reverse, but It was shifting before I started trying to crank it with the starter. None the less this is good practice lol. By the time I finally get on the water I'll be well versed in the mechanics of it all.

Can a stuck motor be turn from the prop?

I didn't see it running and previous owner "said" he never got the chance to crank it cause he fell off the boat one day and broke his leg he had it sitting for a year. But says it was sitting for years before that. someone was def. fooling with it because the crank bolt was gone and there is a...

Can a stuck motor be turn from the prop?

Thanks, well then before I pull it I'll remove the logs and try to tap each cylinder in firing order through the spark plug holes. The bolt for the crank was missing when I got the boat. I ordered the correct bolt for the motor but it won't thread into the threads inside the crank, they are...

Can a stuck motor be turn from the prop?

trying to turn a 305 motor that hasn't ran in years, the crank bolt was stripped by PO, and the starter just clicks when I turn the key, I jumped the starter solenoid and it sounded like it tried to move once but its not budging since then. If i put it in gear and try to turn the prop nut...

How should the bow roller sit?

Found some pics online, looks like I shoud raise it up some so the tow eye rest in the middle of the bow stops. I appreciate your help

How should the bow roller sit?

Yes your right it would be too low, but it seems like it would work ok if it was in the middle or if the boat was just pulled up more on the trailer and the bow eye rest right above the top roller. Its been in this position since I got it so I just don't know.

How should the bow roller sit?

Im not sure if my trailer is set up properly for the boat but I just replaced the bow tow eye and would like to adjust it now if it's needed. It's a double bow roller, should it sit above the top roller or in between them? Thanks
