Model # VCP16KHV
This unit stopped cooling a few weeks ago. The fan runs and there is no error message but it does not cool. I opened up the control board area and found the white wire that is supposed to attach to the Silver capacitor on the board melted to the point that it completely...
Thanks guys. The big problem is that it's tucked in the back of a building so there's no way to get it out to launch it. I decided to write the offer contingent on a mechanical survey after launch in the spring.
I am considering purchasing a boat powered by twin 450 Cummins engines, model year 2000. The boat is up north and is put away in a heated building for winter storage. Is it possible to evaluate these engines without running them? I would be looking for major issues that would have to be fixed...
Hey guys, need a little help. I have a contract to sell my boat 1994 400EC and the survey found some stringer rot. The are saying it starts in the engine compartment left of the starboard engine and runs to the sump pump in the cabin. I've never dealt with stringer rot so I have a couple of...
I removed the coffee maker but couldn't get the access panel to the right out. I removed the screws, but the panel was stuck. Of course that's where the fan access is.
I found an access panel inside the medicine cabinet and the fan for the bathroom vent is in there. I had read some posts stating that both vents were driven off of one fan, but that is definitely not true on my boat. The fan behind my medicine cabinet is only connected to the bathroom vent...
Good Morning, The "Power Vent" on my boat hasn't worked since I bought the boat. I'd like to try and get it sorted out.
Where is the fan located?
Here's what happens - I switch the breaker on at the main panel. Next I go and switch the vent on with the switch on the wall to the left of the...
Thanks for all of the great replies. I did find the accumulator. I also think I solved the problem and I feel pretty stupid because it had nothing to do with the pump. I was getting very low on water and the pump was pumping a bit then running out. Bonehead move of the week.
Good Morning, I'm having some trouble with my freshwater pump. Last week my freshwater system stopped working. I determined that the pump was tripping the breaker. The pump was looking pretty rough so I pulled it and it seemed to be locked up so I ordered a new pump. Unfortunately the new...

1.5 psi is the same as 41.56" of water column. I just googled the Maretron 1.5 psi sensor and the spec I saw said the accuracy is +/- 3% full scale. The max error should be .03 X 41.56" which is equal to 1.25" of water. The max error is still based on full scale so you could have as much as...
I'm really curious on how you added the systems monitor data to your display. Is there an old thread discussing that? I'm considering adding the Fox marine engine monitors and a NMEA 2000 network, but I would love to update the old systems monitor.
Can you publish the exact accuracy spec of the Maretron sensor? Is the "Total error Band of 1%" for the entire range of the sensor? If so the Total Error should be 41inches X .01 = .41". So you could expect + or - .41" of error which equates to about a 2.7% total error. That's worst case...
I did mine. I got the gauges from “Flounder Poundet” if you take a picture of your dash they can tell you exactly what you need. Very helpful. I replaced the old panels too and it made a huge difference in the appearance of my helm. The gauge replacement was tedious but not overly difficult.
