Thanks Doug, I don’t have the original fridge. The previous owner installed a Vissani brand which was considerably smaller and would fit through the door. I wanted to see what other brands had been installed for comparison.

Hey guys, I know a couple of you have replaced your galley refrigerator. I wanted to see if you had any specific model numbers and if the new refrigerator would fit through the cabinet door without having to take it of. Thanks in advance.

The 8k unit works wonderfully in the master birth and when we are not on the boat I leave that unit running with a fan blowing back into the salon and it keeps the entire cabin cooled nicely. No I did not get the sound shield and It hasn't been a problem.

@ NotHerDecision I went with the DTU8, its a 8k BTU unit. I am going to have to order me a fridge like yours, that looks awesome! I pulled my ice maker out last year and have been using the space for life jacket storage. Now that I see the fridge that is definitely the way to go!!

I just swapped my original CruiseAir in the master berth to the Dometic as well. I agree it is a significant upgrade from the CruiseAir. I am thinking about doing the same thing to my salon unit as well!!
