Smileys on my boat leaked from the time they were installed until I sold the boat. Tried seam sealer and all other manner of “solutions.” Nothing helped.
water intrusion around upper hatches is a common issue on the 2000-ish year group.
I had a survey fail for same reason.
Eventually found one that was dry and my first project was re-bedding those hatches (did the windlass at the same time)
Windshield area is another are to watch.
A good surveyor...
Very simple job if you can find the correct replacement Tach.
Before you buy/change it though, try this little trick...
Unscrew dash and tilt forward so you can access back side of Tach. Note the position of a small screw on the back, it should have the numbers 4,6,8 adjacent to it. Using a...

This was my experience also. I had underestimated the value of my boat. Broker listed it 20% higher than I expected. First bid came in 10 days, closed inside of 1 month.
Double check your model number to see if this is the correct manual...
If it's correct, I can email you the PDF. CSR won't let me upload it because it's too large.

Chapter 9 - Troubleshooting
You’re right, they are a few mm shorter because of the plates.
I was never able to identify who made them, or their exact length.
I suspect I’ll finally have to upgrade to the Hardin Stainless pumps.
I bought the kit a few years ago and have been buying impellers annually since then. I was able to order new impellers this spring, but that link is no longer active. I suspect they may be out of business.
On my 340 DA, the transmission “dipstick” is the same as the plastic filler cap. You read it by removing, wiping then completely screwing it back in, then remove and read.
I'm curious what you find. I've thought about this also. I considered a simple brass sleeve that would fit into the gap between the existing shaped hoses.
What would be a likely cause for fuel in the oil on a gas engine?
Black stone mentioned it in my report last year.
My compression test numbers are good.
Got mine from my local SeaRay parts dealer. Apparently there are only a few cuts, just took an existing key and got 2 spares.
A few months ago, I forgot my key and just asked one of my SeaRay neighbors to borrow a key and it was a match.
I usually start my parts search online also, and struggled to find the same switch. Finally called my local SeaRay Dealer/Parts shop and they had it in stock...cheap. Less than $15. Smallest bill I've ever paid at a boat store. :)
