Thanks for the advice.
The water pump NEVER comes on when just the aft unit is turned on. The fan comes on, and the compressor runs (don't know if it's actually compressing, but it runs). My plan is to see if the trigger relay is replaceable. If so, I'm going to swap it with the trigger...
This is very helpful information. I suspected this was the case. Water is flowing nicely out of both thru hull openings, so there is no evidence of a clog in the line. Clearly the aft unit is not getting the info or trigger to turn on the pump. I will look into this first. Any suggestions...
Hi, I have a 1992 SeaRay with two heat pumps for AC and heat. Can some one tell me what the plumbing is like? I assume the water is pumped to both units in tandem regardless of which one is turned on. When I turn on the forward unit it pumps water heats and cools. When I turn on the aft unit...
Thanks QT1 - I'm not really too concerned which model we're talking about - I know Lewmar makes higher capacity windlasses. I'm more interested in knowing if I'll still be able to use the switches that I now have at the helm or if a new windlass will also require a rewire. Any idea?
Does anyone have experience replacing their Good windlass with a Lewmar 700?

Thanks all - yes, it's a Good windlass. Seems to have lost its umph - won't pay-out line without tugging on it, and won't retrieve line. Tried replacing the line with no improvement. I'd also like a windlass that can handle rope and chain. I did get a refurbishment quote from Good for about...
Hello,
I want to replace the windlass on my 1991 Sundancer 350. What are the things I should take into consideration when looking for a replacement. I'd like to be able to use the same wiring and switches at the helm.
Thanks,
Tom
Thanks. I think on a vertically orientated cooler it does matter. If the oil comes in from the top it may just cascade down the tubes and not completely fill the cooler before it exits. When the oil comes in from the bottom the only way it can exit is to completely fill the entire tube and go...
Hello,
Can someone please tell me which cooler line (7 and 8) goes to which connection on the transmission (A or B)? I assume the outflow from the transmission goes to the bottom of the vertical cooler, but I don't know which is the outflow - A or B
