    Shopping for 280's.. Saltwater pitfalls??

I figured that because dpvandy01 is from Ohio, he would have an easier time finding a quality boat also. John my worry for a midwest boat obviously is not the salt but the maintenance or lack thereof. The Cold weather would be my worry making sure there are no freezing issues.

    anchor issues

..............my only add is a Rubbermaid type box with holes drilled in the bottom for drainage, which fits the space. This way there's no way the line can get snagged or bounced into the engine pulleys or moving parts that may cause real damage. Have a matching box for the spare prop/tools. I...

What other brands of boats did you own and.................

You mean the bottom one? That's in the Mighty Columbia River. The only reason it looks dirty is because I'm in 0" of water on dirt. We need to have a beer together. Skol! Big guy

What other brands of boats did you own and.................

Blasmphemy!!! All of You!. Of course I'm kidding, but I have only owned SeaRay's 1991 180BR - Great first boat and with the 4.3 May have been overpowered, but was a blast. 1995 220OV - Bought when I was previously married. Never slept overnight on it until after I was divorced and dating...

Hit some floating debree this weekend, what do u think?

Poormonkey. I agree that it sounds like everything is fine. More than likely you bonked the outdrive on the leading edge and if you throttled back as quick as you say, you may have just grazed the props without damage. I also agree that a quick swim with mask, your visual and running your hand...

I may be leaving the world of Sea Ray :(

Sorry to hear that. PM Slack250. I'm not sure if his 250DA is still available. He's in TX too. He sent me pictures, it's a very clean boat and sounds like it's in great shape.

Ok, time to unleash the wrath of CSR on the burgee dude

Other than the fact that they're Pittsburgh Steeler's Colors they look pretty good. Unfortunately as a Die-hard Seahawks fan I am allergic to black and gold, otherwise I'd buy one and put it on the bow of the boat I don't own.
