Guest 20 amp battery charger and NOrthstar AGM

I checked the boat today; the battery charger model is 26222A-OEM. It has a date code of 3/9/2007. I found the original manual, and it says "THIS CHARGER SHOULD BE USED TO CHARGE ONLY LEAD ACID, AGM, OR GEL CELL TYPE BATTERIES. USE ON OTHER BATTERY TYPES MAY CAUSE AN EXPLOSION OR PERSONAL...

2006 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer Tow Vehicle

The Yukon XL manual says 8,100 lbs (with upgraded hitch). The 2006 260 Owners Manual says 7,000 lbs dry weight. Add trailer plus whatever is on the boat. I'm looking for real world experiences towing with a comparable Yukon XL/Suburban. Thanks for help.

2006 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer Tow Vehicle

I am looking at a 260 that is ~350 miles from my home lake. We have a 2017 Yukon XL - 5.3L V8 with 3.42 rear end upgrade. Standard Class. Our hitch is only 5,000 lbs and needs to be upgraded, but with that upgrade, will we be able to comfortably tow the 260 on a custom aluminum I-Beam tandem...

considering purchase of 2006 260 Sundancer

Kevin - great words of wisdom. Thank you. I did some more reading, and I think you are right about opening a can of worms with this one.... Bennett - How did you resolve your oil pan issue? Big deal?

2006 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer - Bridge clearance

The plot thickens..... The owner of the boat I was looking at shared a PDF of the 2006 owners manual that says 9' from waterline to top of arch plus another 1' for the light - 10' total. That's perfect; it fits. Owners Manual also says 10'10" from KEEL to top of arch. Is 10" from keel to...

considering purchase of 2006 260 Sundancer

Thank you all for the great, specific advice. I've read almost all of the 260 DA thread and learned alot from it. We are at a stage in life where weekends sleeping on the boat will be primarily just my hubby and me, with our adult daughter joining us occasionally. We'll have other friends...

considering purchase of 2006 260 Sundancer

I haven't seen this boat in person yet; it's 7 hours from me. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the drive. Questions for the group. Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI with Bravo III drive. 520 hours - is that too high? At what point do these engines start to require major repairs/rebuilds? I've only...

2006 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer - Bridge clearance

Well, it would be, except the deal I was working on fell through. A guy who called about the boat yesterday committed to buy it before I could even see it :( Back to the drawing board.

2006 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer - Bridge clearance

Does anybody know the full height of the 2006 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer with arch, light, and antenna? I am looking at buying one, but I'm concerned it won't fit in my boat house. I need to be sure. Does the light fold down, or is it fixed? Thanks in advance.

260 Sundancer Thread.........Comments questions and answers

I am looking for a cruiser in the 26'-28' range. Based on specs and pictures, I think I want a 260 Sundancer - 2005 or later. I looked at a 270 Rinker that's for sale locally, but the 260 Sea Ray just seems to be a better boat. Are any owners in the Pickwick Lake area - intersection of TN, MS...
