Agreed on BP. I will be very happy if a spot opens up. Otherwise, Gem Beach seems nice and it is pretty well priced.

Thanks to all for your thoughts and suggestions. We're currently on the wait list at both Catawba Moorings and Bay Point. I like the amenities and location of Gem Beach but am slightly concerned about the docks if we have high water levels again next spring.

It sounds like there are a lot of good options. I have never boated in either the West or East Harbor on Catawba. Is West Harbor a shorter trip to the lake? It seems like boat harbors are no wake (or at least that's the impression I am getting).
