Rollercoastr, I agree it's not a true trawler. I have seen it described as part cruiser, part houseboat and part trawler. I'm not totally going away but I didn't want to ruffle any feathers if I started asking question pertaining to Chris Crafts -- laughs
I want to take a minute and thank everyone for their help and sharing their knowledge. I recently came across a Chris Craft Corinthian 380 I could not pass up. Giving up the Sea Ray was part of the deal so I guess I am moving over to the Trawler forum. I hope folks there are as friendly.

This is really a shot in the dark. I decided to replace the switches on my 1983 270. When I pulled the panel, I found 2 wires not connected, but all switches have wires (granted some switches have multi-wires). The 2 wires not connect are factory wires and are numbered - 2 and 14.

My creativity pales in comparison to what I've seen. i was a coat and tie guy for 34 years. I have always had a fascination with anything on 2 wheels. Here's a few of the things I build.
jssearay, I am an expert on buffing fiberglass :) -- I'm lying too :) -- But I have just finished buffing and polishing an older SR and it's not a bad job. It's work, but very doable with the right products and a good buffer. For me, the dull gelcoat wouldn't be a deal breaker.
Good Luck

Dancer, that is all very good advise. Except for the part about having 2 experienced people, I did pretty much as you outlined. On the longer spans, I used masking tape to hold the stripping in line so i could work with it. This is my 1st stripping job on a boat, but I've worked with decals and...
As the task of buffing and polishing my boat is winding down, I have learn I don't like the job!! I have now moved on to stripping. In just my 2nd day of stripping I have learned 3 things:
1. Stripping isn't as easy as it looks.
2. it's hard to make a straight line go in a curved direction.
3...
Before I get to my question, I just want to say. Whatever Professional Buffers charge, is worth every dime of it!! :) -- This buffing job is kicking my butt. I like what I am seeing and I know it will be worth the effort once I finish.
When I started, I wanted the gel-coat as smooth as a...
