If you have a vacuflush toilet, check the duck bill valves in the vaccum generator pump, rebuild kit about $30 for two of the four valves needed. Sounds odd, but it was my problem that cleared up the constant cycling of the water pump instantly.. Good luck
Not quite sure why you want to change it, but if you just HAVE TO, my opinion would be to look into a tankless, on-demand type of water heater. They are MUCH smaller, much easier to find a suitable location for mounting and much more efficient as they only need to heat water when you are calling...
Interesting thoughts on the sea cock issue. I am really leaning towards closing them, after all if they are open aren't you "flushing" with the same sea water (and now diluted fresh water) that you are trying to "flush" by doing this in the first place???? Inaddition to running the fresh water...
I'm not sure, but I think there may be a compatability issue with your charger and one or the other type batteries. I think the charger will do either AGM or Flooded, not both at the same time. You may want to check the specs on the charger. Other than that, I am a big fan of keeping things the...
Hey, Hey, Take it easy with the CAT comments, I LOVE cats, .....I just can't eat a whole one by myself!!!! jsut take comfort in knowing that while they were mucking things up at the ramp, you were out on your boat, and it's still MARCH!!!! Go enjoy.
One of this years trips is July 27 on the trailer and out of the Lake, put in in Stratford Ct, make our way up to essex island for a nite or two and then, July 29, leave Essex Island CT, for Newport (sun nite, mon nite) Nantucket (tues, wed, thurs nites) Vineyard (fri, sat nites) Block (sun and...
I made a short, 12-14", connector cable. Run the connector up the tube, set it in place in the antenna. Attach the other end to the cable in the arch. Screw don the base to the arch. Not perfect, but it worked fo me.
USE CAUTION with the ELECTRIC pump!! Be sure it's ignition protected as the fuel (or gas) may result in vapors that could explode during pumping. Now , yes there are electric pumps that could be used for your purpose just be sure you're using an appropriate one. Also remember that plastic gas...
Just an option, Freedom Lift. Just went through a lengthy evalution of many lifts on the market with a friend and we went with Freedom Lift for his 55 Neptunus. Really great product.
Just ordered my two gallons for this years painting. Interlux ultra with bioguard. Hard paint is much more preferred over ablaitive when boat will be trailered, lifted, or out of the water for extended periods of time. As far as base coat, since you have to take down the ablitive that's on...
If I may, 5.0,5.0,5.0,5.0"SSSS !!!! Ok maybe overstated. Prior to buying my 06 290, I ran both 4.3 and 5.0's ( had a very fortunate opportunity). by far the 5.0's won out. Simply stated, why push the 4.3's in the upper third of their power band to achieve what the 5.0's achieve in the midlle...
Any info on how to troubleshoot the through hull transducer for the Raymarine E-80, that monitors sea water temp and depth? The depth seems ok, but the sea water temp shows -38 F all the time. The unit itself seems to be a 4-5 inch long by 1 1/2 inch round plug that goes through a collar in the...
Sorry no help with getting there other than watch your height at the fixed bridge from the shinnecock Canal out to the bay at Sag, but once you're there, stay at the Sag Harbor Yacht Club. Just spent a few days there and they treated us like gold. Don't get intimidated by the megas, most were...
welcome aboard! I have had my 06 290 sinc July of 08. Just came home from ten days and 350 miles of cruising the LI Sound out to Block Island. The boat was fantastic. Take a little time and learn yours, I think you'll be happy with your choice. As for the A/C, lift the vee berth cushion and...
you may want to try a master reset. If that does not work, it sounds like a bad transducer. In my 290, it sits right in the middle of the bilge, so when you climb down there, you almost have to step on it.
