I have a 98. I love the cabin layout. It took me awhile to find one in good shape. After owning for almost 7 years I am considering selling it and moving up.
Under construction and underway:

Repowered both of my engines with Jasper 5.7 a few years ago. About 10.5K. Working well so far (80 hours). Had done it with original Mercs...a lot more.
I recently had a custom made aft top from my local canvas guy. Cost about $1000. There is no down rods at the back and is fully cantilevered off of the arch. Works great and family loves the huge amount of shade it offers.
He also constructed it so that it could be removed and original canvas...
I was able to find the exact product from Outwater Plastics. Be ready to look hard through a million products they have, but I am sure it is still there. I had the same problem with my trim. Black showing through.
Try this link...
I have the exact same boat. And had the exact same problem. Except that my engines ran fine for the first few years of owning it.
I had about 550 hours on the original engines and I started hearing a knock in the port engine. Then it failed to run reliably at all.

Thank You Frank. This is starting to make sense. I think I will test and/or replace the two batteries that are in parallel hook up.
The Ring terminal, looks really stock to me and not a hack from previous owner. But I could be wrong.
I do appreciate your input. Going to replace those two in...
Hello.
My port Engine would not start and I had to use the Crossover switch to get it started. Starboard would fire right up. I looked hard for a Diagram showing what battery powered what on my boat and could not find any specifics, even in my manual.
Pulled out the battery shown as new in the...
I am on Priest Lake but have a lot of friends who boat and live on OHL. They say you need to look out for debris which seems to be floating downstream, and there are some real shallow areas you need to be aware of. Other than that, it is a nice lake to live and boat! Enjoy.
Which lake and where do you launch?. my daughter has a boat they launch at 7 points on Priest Lake. They say its getting crowded and have stories similar to yours. I am at Elm Hill and wet slip all year. Not sure that I would trailer a boat anymore, but it really has advantages of exploring new...
.Mine end up being the cap of one of the blue plastic drain plugs had broken off. It left a pin hole in the threaded shank that spit water. After looking at the more obvious things like hoses you may want to check these plugs to make sure they are tight and not broken.
Before I re powered a few...
I am anxious to hear how it deals with spider crap. Even though our swim platforms get pelted with spiders and dirty bare feet. A quick Starbright non skid deck cleaner works wonders. Will talk this summer after you have a few months under your belt.
