    With my 1990 454, there was a bunch of oil in the oil cooler, and the hoses that route up to the oil filter (that sits above the engine). Make sure to drain that too! I forgot the very first time I did it. :) I wasn't sure if this was part of the the oil quantity measurement that the factory...

    Thanks for the feedback! I'm also thinking the HX is at the end of its life. The previous owner indicated they had to replace an end cap. The real tell for me is that each time I top it off with coolant, the level drops slowly. So either it's leaking IN to the coils, or I'm pushing out a giant...

    Thanks! We're docked at Ontario Place Marina, on the shore of Toronto. Ontario Place used to be fairgrounds with rides and stuff -- now it's a provincial park as they can't decide what to do with it. The Cinesphere would still show movies and all that stuff ... up until Covid anyway.
