Looks like I'm gonna go with a thru hull pick up and bypass the transom hose altogether. Any tips before I attempt the install? Also, what size of hose/thru hull should I use? Think I read somewhere that 1 1/4" is the way to go? TIA

I don't have a manual gauge, the reading is coming from the smartcraft unit which is electronic.

Bad sensor or clogged intake or......? The reading doesn't budge at all, stays at 40PSI all the time, even at idle. Other engine reads 22-26 PSI at 4000RPM. I'm getting no warning beeps either. If the sensor was bad, would it beep? And where can I find the sensor?? TIA
