My Technician told me it is preset at 2500 rpm.. what is very early in my opinion as boat is not on plane yet. I think the trimming comes in places once the boat is on plane to adjust position of the boat on the water surface to get less friction ( so gaining a bit of speed or gaining on...
Well, we replaced by a 3 wire trim sensor/limit as mine is a DTS system
It takes a while before gauge is showing the trim position and doesn't work at all while boating.
Noticed also the trim limit ( supposed to do the job from 2500 rpm onwards ) not working.
I could still trim up at 3200 rpm...
I am agree on that - but if the safety feature knocks in at only 2500 rpm - that is very early as boat is not even on plane than.. i think at cruising speed of 3200 rpm it should be still possible to trim up a bit to gain some speed/ consuming less fuel ?
I will check later this week and will use the existing holes that SeaRay used to spray the foam in.
Will drill with a wooden stick till i hit the bottom of the boat and see if the wooden stick is dry or wet when i take out ..
Hi Paul - any idea on : The ECU limits the trim electronically after the rpm raises to a predetermined level - any limit on that rpm level , can adjust it ?
Thank you for this answer - boat is on the hardstand now - we fixed all the " holes" in the bilge floor so no more water will go into the hull - we will make a small hole into the foam till the bottom and try to vaccuum the water out ( if there is any ) to start with. Can use the original holes...
i do have the same problem but below the ski locker. There is a second bilge pump there and the former owner must have changed the floating switch without sealing the former holes in the botom of the ski locker.. - so water must have gone into the area between bottom/floor of the skilocker and...
Ok thanks - may i ask, what do you actually flush with this ? - and how to use ?
You flush without using the engine ( as when engine runs you still suck raw water ) ?
Can get more info on your coupler before sea pump ? Picture ? My boat is in saltwater all year round and in the water all the time. i am looking for an easy way to flush the engine on a regular base - i have a 350 mag with b3 sterndrive
Any one has experience with FLUSHPRO from Perko ? my boat in saltwater all year round. - replaced last year manifolds, risers and elbows.. - would be good to flush the whole system time to time with " fresh " water ?

Dear All ,
I have always some water in the ski locker on my SLX 250 ( 2008 model ) - i gues from rain via the anchor locker - and floor cleaning - now the problem is that after cleaning the whole ski locker and second bilge pump area, behind the wooden cover for the water tank pump, i found that...
Dear All - has anyone found a solution for this ?
I do also have water in the ski locker on my SLX 250 ( 2008 model ) - now the problem is that after cleaning the whole ski locker and second bilge pump area, behind the wooden cover for the water tank pump, i found that there are 3 small holes in...
Dear All,
Any one has any idea what material there is under the " ski locker " floor of a SR 250 Slx 2008 model ?
So the space between the ski locker floor and the keel of the boat is filled up with a kind of foam ? Because i have 3 ( i guess non original - i guess from a former pump and...
I am checking out the cost to get a closed cooling system mounted - let's see with what they come up with.. - The problem here are the import taxes on parts.. if i were in the States on salt water i would make the conversion right away..
Dear All, I bought my 250 Slx ( 2008 model ) with 2015 350 mag mpi engine ( 200 hours ) in 2018 singapore. The boat is based in Phuket - Thailand now. Last year in November i had to replace both manifolds, risers and elbows.. ( not a cheap maintenance story - but i had no other solution or it...
