I have a 2006 280DA so you know what size duckbill valves are used for the head system? Are they 1 1/2" or 2" my boat is winterized right now and not easy to get to and I would like to order them so I have them when I get it out of storage in a few weeks. Thanks for any help
That must be the problem. When I bought the boat last year when i cleaned the boat out from the previous owner I found one in there. I asked the marina that did the work on it last year to fix the idle for me but I thought they just forgot to fix it because when i asked them to they said no...
got twin mercury 5.0 mpi with bravo 3 outdrives and one motor idles lower than it should i was seeing if anyone knows if it is a adjustment is on the cables by the motors or of it needs to be adjusted elsewhere. I looked on here and can't find anything about adjusting the idle
Thanks for the help everyone just went out and restarted it and it took about 10 seconds for the water to start coming out this time i had someone else start the boat and I was able to stay out there and watch. Thanks for all the help and advice on this and all my other projects that i have...
I had the boat started already this year on land with the muffs thats when i noticed the leak coming from the pump and I bought a whole new pump I didn't just replace the impeller and it was all put together already so I didn't put any dish soap on it. I know the whole system drained though...
yea there on right I only had to take the two hoses off the pump and they are different sizes so they could only go on one way. I did drain the whole system though when i took it off because i had to remove another hose to get out of the way but everything should be on right and i have no water...
I just replaced the raw water pump on my 2006 280 sundancer. Do I have to prime the system or should it just suck the water from the muffs? The motor is a mercury 5.0 mpi. I just tried starting it with the hose hooked up to the muffs and no water was coming out I only had the motors running...
The port exhaust bellow is not slid all the way onto the leg it was very noticeable considering that you could see that the old one was almost on an inch further and the clamp that is holding that one on is half on and half off the bellow.
Thats what I'm hoping for. when I installed the drives last year I know I put them on and had no real issues but this year after the marina changed the bellows now I have a lot leaking from both drives.
last year had a slight leak on my bravo 3 outdrive on the port side. This year had the bellows changed and got the boat back to my house and noticed oil leaking off the exhaust bellow on both port and starboard drives while the motors were in the trailer position. Lowered both outdrives down...
Just installed a new water heater in my boat and there was no check valve on the fresh water lines coming in or going out. I believe there is suppose to be one but I'm checking to see. And if it should be on the inlet side so the hot water won't work its way back to the rest of the water...
I just came across your post. I am looking to replace the forward mirror on my 2006 280da and trying to find where you purchased the mirror at or did you cut it yourself?
Thank you Henry and Lazy Daze for all the help and good information i appreciate all of it. I will be giving it a shot here later on this week i hope and let you know how i make out. All the manuals for the bow thruster are in the boat so once i go over them i will know what the best way to go...
ill be pulling that bow battery as soon as i get the boat back this week. and start working on running new cables. something to do during the quarantine.
As of right now there are 2 batteries on position 1 of the master switch and 1 battery on position 2 and 1 battery on the second master switch. So there is a total of 4 batteries in the bilge area of the boat with the one in the bow that makes a fifth battery total. I should be able to just...
Looking for some info on the wiring on a bow thruster. I purchased the 280 last year and there is a separate battery under the cushions in the bow of the boat. There are no wires running to the battery to charge it i was told by the marina that i bought it through that the previous owner had...
Just dropped the boat off at the marina today for them to fix the bellows. Suppose to get it back Tuesday then I will take a pic of the area that I'm thinking that the water is getting behind the shower. There gonna try to get it positioned a little better on the trailer while its there so it...
