    Power issue …help?

I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the battery connections. Next is to check the ground but I couldn’t get to it due to those panels. Will try again to take them off. I found the L brackets, just wasn’t sure if that would do the trick. And: The reply from @WinkBuilt describes a safety switch...

    Power issue …help?

Also I’m not sure if the bilge pump was working or not . It’s the blower fan kicking back on that told us the power was back.

Seconded on great lakes. I had them make a brand new Bimini for my 2005 185 and it’s been perfect.

    Power issue …help?

Took some family out for a cruise yesterday and after about two hours of constant cruising we pulled into the area near the dock. Boat was idling for a couple minutes while we waited for our turn, then it died. When I say that, I mean everything was totally gone. Zero power whatsoever. Fan...

Carb engine owners...how many "primer pumps" before starting?

Folks on this thread ...one more question from a first time boat owner. How long do you hold the key in the crank position when starting after pumping the throttle a few times ? If I’m only doing 1-2 seconds is that too short? Boat engines have more of a “grinding” sound than cars which I’m...

Thank you. This helped. I still have maybe 1/4” of water that won’t drain.

    Very slow ski locker drain

Does it drain under the gas tank? I’ve read that dirt can build up under the tank & block flow on some types.

Bimini install question relative to cover snap line

I called the mechanic whom i've had work on my boat in the past and he recommended what a few of you guys are saying, mount it right behind the windshield in the flat area and have the cover modified. it looks like two little u-shaped cutouts will do the trick. He gave me a guy that can do it or...

Bimini install question relative to cover snap line

Got it. Good point and thank you. Yeah, you can ignore the pole location now, it's just sitting there and not in the exact spot we want it. It seems like the pivot ability of the receiver/mount will allow me to mount it on or outside the snap line unless folks here think it would be a less...

Bimini install question relative to cover snap line

Thanks everyone for the quick feedback. this is really helpful. For reference this i an 05 185 sport. What do you mean by this? The bimini is slightly wide than the snap line. The mount also has a pivot/rotate ability but only one direction - should i have it pivot toward the inside of the...

Bimini install question relative to cover snap line

Question for anyone who is an expert on Bimini installation. Given that my boat has snaps installed for the snap on cover, should I be sure to mount the Bimini mount outside of the snaps to make sure that the mount doesn’t interfere with the snap on cover (which is nice and snug)? Picture...

What Is Best Tow Service To Subscribe To

Interesting. They told me that it works just like auto: I call their 800 number (this is progressive via USAA) to report it, and then they contract it out and the tow shows up. So I don’t have to file a claim, but I bet you’re right it takes a while.
