3196's with aftercooler problems, covered under warranty. A lot of them were re-powered with C12's from cat. C12 isn't much different than a 3196, a lot of parts are interchangeable. Buddy of mine put C12 turbos on his 3196's, had to have the ECU remapped and good to go.

Anyone know if you can lookup prior boat sales data? Specific boat or even by model? Looking at a few options for our new boat and not finding much active "for sale" data to compare to. If so is this something regular people would have access to or brokers only?

That's what I thought. But the short answer to your question is yes- blade area does matter. Veem props for example are in the 97%+ blade area ratio. I'd think the DQX and Acme would be higher than 70% but have to check the specs on them. Not sure what he meant by "searay props". Searay doesn't...
