same as above - started motors twice - then nothing---I am not getting any electrical response in the motor compartment at all when I turn the key and I have juice to the lanyard safety switch- which I checked-and nothing at fuel pump- but accessories ( trim, lights, horn etc.) all have power
twin 2000 350 efi's- didn't prime - started port engine twice -it ran for about 8 seconds each time-thought it would refuel- it didn't - then system went dead- no reaction to ignition switch- then I did it to the stbd engine with the same result-if nothing else I am consistent-- then I find out...
update on first thread- emergency off switches each has 4 wires- 2 green( factory sealed ends) and 2 black for use- starboard switch has 2 red with stripes coming to it labelled "stbd in" and the other "stbd out"- each wire ties to one of the black---- the port switch has the same MO- "port in"...

Linen tweed was one of the samples but not very representative on the computer- at this point 26 years later- anything close will do for a repair to what was a nice canvas until a mouse decide to have lunch- thank you for your help- Ed

I have been trying to upgrade my older system which has separate control switches from the electronic indicators-it is 2 separate systems - newer ones are tied together- this is the 5000 series-I can use the existing red and green wires to tie into the upgrade- as I was told by Bennett- parts...

Bill- thank you- I have the 2 leads (red and green) that go all the way to the helm- each lead has 3 thin wires within it, 2 similarly colored and one ground- they are butt spliced to identical wires coming from the control box- 2 red, 2 green and 1 ground- so does your wiring match this...
