This is our fist year on Lake Erie and the Mayflies are Nasty. It is hard to go and enjoy the boat when you and the boat are covered so heavily is Flies.
1) Typically is there a strong bloom and then it becomes less dense for the summer or does it stay strong through summer?
2) Are they...
Only one flare and one flag is required.
In 2019 when I took our boat to Canada from the US I was concerned about the flare situation since I converted myself to the electronic flare. I was also surprised about how many flares are required in Canada
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but from...

I have a very good Friend who has worked at Cruisers for over 30 years. The word on the street is that Carver and Marquis are not making boats anymore. Cruisers has pretty much taken over that facility and are in the process of destroying the Carver molds.
Sad to see another US manufacture...
Thanks for all of your advice. I think we try to stay as east as possible so we can boat on the Chesapeake.
On a side note: What is up the the carp on Raystown Lake I see tons of pictures of the carp.... It looks like it would be fun to jump in and be swarmed by a bunch of carp!!
My Territory will essentially be the western 2/3rds of the state with a little bit of overflow into NY and OH. I can live anywhere in that territory as I will be working from home most of the time with a little bit of traveling.
We are still doing tons of research in regard to schools homes...
I received a Job offer to work in PA. As it is a more remote type job I am able to live anywhere in PA. One of our big requirements is having a boat friendly area. We enjoy marina hopping but mostly enjoy throwing an anchor and finding a beach.
Some areas that we were looking at are

If you are in Freshwater a painted steel trailer will do you fine.
If you are in Saltwater opt for either a Aluminum or...
I had a Tandem Axle Shoreland'r for my 1999 260 DA. It was adequate. It has two 5200 lb axles. If I were towing cross county and/or long distance every weekend I would opt for a tandem axle with 6,000 lb axles. I now have a Tri-Axle Trailer for my current boat. I do have to say the Tandem was a...
Looks like it is about 20 miles. It would take you about 45 min on plane. Obviously pick a nice weather window and make sure you have a working VHF and cell phone with you.
I need Help!
I have a Cruisair SMX II in my boat currently. Everything works great on the unit, However the keyboard flashes and the buttons don't work "most of the time". Currently the unit is stuck on the AC mode at 70 which is perfect for most the year. We are wanting to sell this boat...
You may be able to order them from Great Lakes Canvas you will need to call or e-mail them.
When I had my 260 DA my track seals were not working well with the old canvas. When I ordered new canvas from Great Lakes Canvas they had new seals on them and they worked great since they were new.
That would be my dream garage!
I am curious if you were able to measure the height on your trailer. We are wanting to get a newer boat and am have a hard time finding a boat that we can trailer yet that is under the 13' 6" height on a trailer. All of the new boats seem to sit so high now days.
I have always buffed and used wax or sealants over the years. I an contemplating using a ceramic coating like Glide Coat. If anyone has done ceramic coatings have you had any issues or complaints about this product? Is there a particular brand you would recommend over another?
