    Spacer for factory trim tab?

Measure how much wider to the tunnels you can go and we can see what replacement tabs you could use. As I mentioned I cannot really help with larger Tabs fore to aft. Also you will need to reposition the actuators so that they are in the middle of the tabs side to side. Tom Bennett Marine

    Spacer for factory trim tab?

Since there are no Drop Fins on the Tabs, I would a a set of DF12s to them first. Tom Bennett Marine

    Different Strokes...??

No, They were originally the same, but most likely someone replaced one of the original custom actuators with a "standard" one. Tom Bennett Marine

    Different Strokes...??

Yes, we have made different stroke actuators for SeaRay. Often when one needs to be replaced it is replaced with a "standard" actuator resulting in what you are experiencing. Is there any way you can post photos of both sides in the full up and full down positions? Tom McGow Bennett Marine

    Spacer for factory trim tab?

I have seen extensions work fine, some examples here on Club SeaRay. But since I work for Bennett and we don't make or test them I cannot recommend them or give guidance about them. Drop Fins do help and adding larger Tabs do too. Do you have a photo of the transom and Tabs you could post...

    Spacer for factory trim tab?

You can a little bit, but you will reach the point of diminishing returns very quickly! Not sure what you mean by "some detail from the forum vendor would be great". Tom McGow Bennett Marine

    Spacer for factory trim tab?

Yes, the hinge on the transom! On most of our Tabs it's an interlocking hinge. It's very strong and corrosion resistant, but unlike a piano hinge it cannot go all the way down or up. Tom Bennett Marine

    Spacer for factory trim tab?

Two things to be concerned with. You may indeed be pushing the interlocking hinge too far down and damage it or bend the Tab itself. The standard angle of deflection for the Tabs provides the best lift to drag ratio. If you deflect it more than that it will create more drag than the addition...

    any 2018 290 SDX owners?

In order for Trim Tab indicators to work on a NMEA system sensors must be installed in the actuators (rams). The first thing to do is determine in the sensors were ever installed. https://bennetttrimtabs.com/product/nmea-2000-indicator-kit/ Tom McGow Bennett Marine

    Adding Tabs 410EC

12x12 would be good. I'd go with the the standard ones without the drop fins on these ones due to there location over the pockets. Tom Bennett Marine

    My First Boat Project

You really don't have room for wider Tabs to make it worthwhile as the actuator needs to be centered in the Tab side to side. If you feel the boat needs more lift. You can add DF12 drop fins to the existing Tabs. They capture water pressure normally lost out the sides of the Tabs and channel it...

    Adding Tabs 410EC

I would place them right over the pockets, and simply tee them into the hydraulic tubes running to the outboard actuators. Tom McGow Bennett Marine

    98 290DA tab upgrade

The Tab is designed not to slide out. So you need to unscrew the mounting plates on the transom and remove them from the boat to take them off. Tom
