Hi, I was wondering if I need to take out the whole engine just to fix that hose or could I fix it exactly where it is after I drain the oil of course?

I know I can get it from the dealer, but I am just looking for about a foot for the transom to the stern drive. I am not ready to change the hose on the engine side. Does anyone know where to buy it by the foot? I read about fuel lines and hydraulic hose and am confused what to buy. I know...
