This was an interesting article and how I see things playing out currently with this administration. It delves into our current 'covid crisis' and touches on the next BIG crisis, 'climate change'. Makes me wonder about some of the thinking from others that it's okay in the US to shut down business, limit travel, fire individuals from careers, and limit healthcare, (for instance but not limited to) under the guise of a crisis via Government.

Cambridge Study Argues That Authoritarianism May Be Required to Fight Climate Change

Here's a quote from the last paragraph:

"A brief reading of history shows that there will always be a crisis, conflict, or catastrophe around the corner that those in power will use as a pretext to violate the very liberties governments are supposed to protect—and if there’s not one, you can bet they’ll find one."

Holy crap, just look at how many crises have come along since Sleepy Joe took office. Shoot, even Gov. Inslee of WA is the Chief Crisis Inventor in our neck of the woods.

There's an old saying: Never Let a Bad Deed go unpunished".

Maybe our current federal and state administrators should change that to "Never let a decent crisis go to waste."

Rham Emanuel already did when he worked for Obama. “Never let a crisis go to waste.”

That last sentence should be changed to “…you can bet they’ll create one.”

To me it's clear. In order to save the planet there is nothing out of bounds. Future massive migrations due to climate change are what is behind their thinking...so get used to open borders, loss of property rights, loss of freedoms...you must be willing to sacrifice, do what's best for all. It's all ready started....you will own nothing and you'll be happy.

...but I got more important problems right now. I'm stuck in the snow bank and waiting for my son in law to come save the day.:(

Hopefully it isn't -5 by you like it is here. I think you're about 10 degrees warmer.

Naa, I would not be happy sir. Just not wired that way.

No. I am going to own a Jeep with a V8 Hemi. My little protest. :)

Me neither. Look at Kamala's often excuse for the flood of illegals at our border...some of Central America was hit by hurricanes. What used be called illegal aliens is more often called migrants now. Have you read up on the 30x30 plan? It's about sharing, equity, making land accessible to all...it's how they're starting to whittle away at private property ownership. They want to see rural populations pulled into the cities, less infrastructure to support spread all over and the land can be managed for use that best benefits all. We'll end up housed similar to Chinese factory workers.

We're heading toward 2 classes world wide, the Elites/rulers and the workers. Listen to Pelosi speak, she refers to 300+ million people in this country as 'our workers' or 'the workers'. By the time the woke folks realize they been played it'll be too late. We're all being manipulated, the obvious collusion of media and power isn't obvious to enough yet. Others are deciding what we can know/hear. The most powerful man on earth was turned off by Facebook and Twitter, they decided to prevent him from speaking easily, they decided to make it hard for millions to hear what he had to say. That's some awesome power they have.

I think I'm done with plowing. I've been looking at big pull behind snowblowers. It'll be a little slower but I figure I can cut down on the amount of snow that needs to be moved so in the end it'll be about the same, maybe next year.

I'm sitting in the airport in Seattle waiting for my flight home that Delta just delayed 2 hours. I went to the gate agent to see about getting switched to Alaska Airlines. The jerk said it was a weather delay due to poor runway conditions in PSC. They're still flying that route and I wanted to get switched to AK Air. He looked down his nose at me and said "you can't switch if the delay is due to weather." I asked him why AK Air was still flying on time and Delta wasn't. He didn't have an answer but said in a snooty voice "I guess we care more about you getting there in one piece."

I left Phoenix Sky Harbor where it was 75* and I'm headed home where it's around 44*. Better than what they had over the past week. I guess I timed my flight south at the perfect time.

But as swb1 says here, it’s all a coincidence.

If folks don’t see the design then they deserve their outcome.

IMHO snowblowers are 100x preferable to plows for residential work. Biggest advantage is never running out of room to put the snow.
Unless you have a strong need to keep the bucket loader assembly on, you will most likely regret a rear mount.
If your tractor has the option, go for FRONT mount snowblower.
Your back will thank you after NOT spending all that time twisted around driving in reverse.
Get a 3 point blade if you need to drag snow out of tight spots first.

I don't plow for hire. What I'm leaning toward is 4wd tractor, heated cab, min 65hp, rear mount inverted blower.

Wish I had the heated cab (or even A cab)!!!

just looked up what you are talking about. Gotta admit I thought it was a typo-never seen that style before.

That would be interesting to try.

My absolute favorite moment on the freeway is hitting the gas and smoking past a Prius in my supercharged gas-guzzling Range Rover!!
