Does any one know what's the original set up of the batteries in this boat? Currently I have 1 cranking and 2 deep cycle, I got twins 4.3L set up, any help is greatly appreciate it.

Generally it would be 2 crancking (one for each engine) and a single house(deep cycle) for cabin accessories, fridge, lights, gps, stereo....
If you have a generator though, i e heard that they sometimes come with a single isolated cranckimg battery for that and you could charge your batteries with it if needed...

That's why I'm trying to find out, I purchased the boat a little over a year ago, I have a deep cycle battery going bad and apparently it what the starboard engine use to start, I was wondering if previous owner changed it, I do have an onboard gen set thought. Thanks!

You need to verify if it is a true deep cycle battery, most times they are dual purpose and marine battery manufacturers love to add on the words deep cycle. A true deep cycle has very low cranking amps and should never be used to start an engine. If the battery lists cranking amps on the label, it is a dual purpose and is fine for starting an engine and has slightly thicker plates to help with reserve capacity.

The current one must be a dual I guess because it says has 750 CA, I guess Ill stick with the same, thanks for the help.

Yes, 750 cca is definitely not a true deep cycle. It is dual purpose or starting. I have always had great success with dual purpose batteries even on my cruisers. Deka, interstate, most of them are decent quality.

Thanks again, I will stick with the current brand, they are from Everstart(Wal-Mart) and have date from 06/13, 4 years life is pretty good to me.
