My ceiling is sagging on the port side near the skylight over the galley sink. Where are the fasteners that hold it up and what do they fasten to?

Unfortunately, your problem may be that the skylight could be leaking. The ceiling is sagging because the glue is not sticking anymore and it’s wet. Have you noticed if it is more humid in the cabin?

Take the ring off the skylight and see if the fabric is wet. You’ll have to remove and rebed the skylight, if it is. Get it dry between the fabric and underside of the deck. Make sure there’s no delamination of the deck. Reseal the wood edges, rebed the skylight and re-glue the fabric to the deck.

It sure seems like the vinyl ceiling material has foam behind it and then a rigid backing. I’m thinking this could be screwed to plywood fiberglassed into the decking.. just my thoughts
Also. From what I can see there’s NO moisture anywhere

Glad that there’s no moisture. At 15 years old, it’s a possibility. I had the start of a leak in the forward hatch in my 370DA when it was about that age. That’s why I know what fixed my sagging liner.

Lets get a little more info. What exactly is sagging? Is it the foam back vinyl that may have been glued on or is it a headliner board. In my 340SDA there is a plywood board that the headliner is attached to that board is mounted to boat.

If just the vinyl is sagging then the only thing you could do is pull it down and re-glue it. Depending on how it pulls down it may not be pretty.

If this is a board falling then you are going to have to peek under where it sagging to see if a mount may have come loose. You may also want to contact Sea Ray to see if they can tell you how and where the board was attached. I have seen on some boats that multiple "christmas tree" connectors where used.

Thanks Kevin, it’s definitely the plywood board that is sagging. The problem area is directly above the sink near the track system for the front birth section and near the skylight.

I will try and gain access to it and see what’s up there.

thanks for the replay
