This what -10 looks like in West Michigan. We had open water a few days before this pic was taken. Turned our bubbler on at 7AM and did not see water for more than an hour. Wondered if the motor was running. It was. Before and after pix.

I'm glad to see the boat is out of the water!

Wow is all I can think of to say about all that cold.

We're down south now and those pics make me appreciate the 70* weather all that much more.

Burrrrr.... Got up to 61 here today but snow starts at 3:00am... 56 days till spring !!!!

This weather is truly crazy. Last weekend we had 6 inches of snow (not counting the drifts). Two days ago it all melted then rain all day yesterday. Tomorrow it'll be low teens and blowing like crazy then mid next week -2 (no not wind chill).

So happy my boat is snuggled inside heated storage.

Cool pic by a local photographer of the Sykes leaving. A tug from Muskegon broke the ice so the Sykes could make a call here. Likely the last visit of any ship until Spring. Forecasted high for Wednesday is 0 degrees.
