Hi there, I am the new owner of an old boat..... so I guess I belong in this group. We have a 1982 355T that has been restored to her former glory[actually better]. We cruise in the Gulf Islands B.C. and moor in Maple bay. Are there any others out there with these boats? These old pre-brunswick boats seem really well built and I have been happy with her handling and seaworthiness. Ours has 1996 vintage 454's with 4 blade props, she will cruise at 20 knts @2900 rpm althought most times we go 8 or 9 knts and enjoy the view. Thanks for the great forum! Hope to see you on the water.

I'm 100% sure but I think my boat has the same hull as yours. I'd be glad to share any info I have with these older boats if you need anything

Hi there, yes I think it is the same hull. What power do you have in yours? I was trying to find out info regarding the hull layup etc. and the history of the boat.... why did SeaRay quit the design, boat reviews etc{ just gee-whiz stuff}.

Cheers.

Thanks for the link... how does your boat perform with the small-blocks? I think that when it is time to repower I will go with the new 320 hp chevy small blocks, same hp less weight than the 454's. Do you know where Searay sourced the windows for these boats? I need to replace or at least fix up my windows. Not leaking but they are corroding and don't look very pretty
Cheers

I too am looking for parts. Need to find bone yard with 355T A/C? I do have all the specs and original data on the boat. I have one of the few with V6 165. They work great with the fuel cost rising.

HEAVY FUEL

I just purchased a 355T in the Houston, TX area. Very impressed with the amount of room and stability of a vessel this size. I too am looking for parts to make her cosmetically appealing. I am in the process of buffing out the hull and upper deck and need to replace the weathered louvered bilge vents. If you find any sources for parts, please let me know. I heard they only made 69 models of the 355T Sedan Trawlers then used the hull for the popular 360 Aft.

My vessel is powered with twin Merc 350's. I have tons of documentation including wiring, plumbing, electronics...pretty much everything that was installed on this vessel. If you need any info, I'd be happy to share.

I have a 1982 355T with an 8.2T detroit and Westerbeke 7.7. I am in the process of restoring her. She runs great and all mechanical is sound, just doing cosmetic work to her.

I am having fun refurbishing this gem. She runs so good. Just put new salon a/c in and am now putting window covers on for the summer to keep out the sun. She is so cosey.

Darrell, Can I send you our email address? I couldn' find a link for a personal message...I haven' been on here very much. I am on the classic sea ray Facebook page...are you on there also?

Thanks Darrell.

I know this is a very old message but hope you will see an reply. We also have new to us a 1982 355T with 454s. Can you let me know what your max WOT RPM are? Can you let me know the size and pitch of your four blade prop?
The boat was repowered from V6s before we bought it and I do not think we are optimized as we are not making what I believe should be max RPM of 4200-4400 for this motor.

Any response is appreciated.

All,
Is there anyone on this thread still active. I am looking to get engine spec information for my Sea Ray 355 T
Max RPM for 454/350?
Prop size and pitch?
I am not making 20 knots @2900 RPM
Max speed at WOT?

Thanks
Charles

Couldn't find the exact spec. for that year but I'm sure your W.O.T. rpms should at least mid to high 4k range.
I did find these if you don't already have them. 82-83 should be close if the not exact same.
