I have a friend that just purchased a 1983 34' Sedan Bridge and I'm helping him go through all his systems to check operations before laying up for the winter. We cannot locate the shower sump anywhere. Other Searays of this era have the sump in the hallway area just outside of the head door. However, this boat does not have an access hatch there. There has to be a box and pump somewhere as the shower drain is below the water line. We just cannot locate it. Any assistance would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

My ‘83 (different model) has the sump under a hatch just inside the forward stateroom door.

It’s gotta be there somewhere near the head

If the SB's layout is the same as the DA below, it's under a panel in the stepdown to the aft cabin, so rearward from the head's door, lower than the main floor level.

I live aboard an 84 Sedan Bridge that was not optioned with a shower sump. The shower gravity drains into the bilge, way down in the bottom of the engine compartment, in front of the starboard side motor.

Was his equipped with a factory shower box afterall? If so, I’m curious where it was as I’m adding my own showerbox currently.
Cheers!
