1988 Sea Ray 305 sedan Bridge

Mercruiser 5.7
found one of these boats. Tons of room. But only made 2 years. Looking for suggestions. Has twin 5.7 low hours run perfect. Thanks

took care of one of these for somebody when I was in school many moons ago. was a fun boat, but as with many of this sedan type , access to motors / machinery is questionable and can lead to neglect by owners. other than that just the usual crap to look for.

Do you have pictures?
I have a 88 345 sedan bridge. Basically been flipping it and going through everything the passed two years.
As far as the mechanical side of things, access anything aft the engine is a piece of cake. Forward the engine is questionable sometimes, depending if the engines were converted to fresh water at some point and where the heat exchanger is mounted. May have a completely different layout than the 345 though.

I have not purchased the 305. I can tell you this..the port engine has no access except for maybe the back and one side via starboard side. It has amazing room for a 30 foot boat and is loaded with options..my concern is handling..

Don’t know anything about the 305. I’m sure my 345 has a lot of the same equipment on it installed in 88. Let me know if you need anything else. Or any questions
Good luck
