My wooden footrest at the helm of my 340 snapped in half. How is the wood secured into the fiberglass, glue? Is there a replacement piece available for this or should I just make a new one out of starboard? Thanks

My 1986 had teak that was secured with screws and the heads were covered with teak plugs sanded smooth to match the elevation of the teak trim. Not sure how you managed to break a piece of teak secured to fiberglass, but I would replace it with teak which is widely available. It is easy to work with and will look much better than starboard. Probably much stronger too.
