1996 Sea Ray 270 Sundancer

Welcome to CSR - That will be some satisfying work if you now get to use the boat
My wife and I did a lot of cruising in Florida. Spent considerable time in the keys diving from the boat. Our favorite week-end destination was St. Augustine. We recently relocated to North Carolina and had the boat transported to a marina in Little River, SC. We always took good care of the boat and can't wait to explore the NC outer banks. She loves to go shelling. We also spend a lot of time out with the commercial shrimp boats since the dolphins love to follow them.

Nice boat. Around here you need to post pictures or else nobody will believe you :D
Give this thread a read, lots of good information

Matt,
Great video. We have had eight Brittany spanials and they also love the water. The boat is named for my first Brittany.

Welcome! This place is fantastic, I’m quick to say that if it hasn’t happened to someone here, it has never happened. Welcome to NC as well! I’ll be curious when you get your first “you’re not from ‘round here are you?”

I know Lake Norman pretty well. I worked in Winston-Salem for seven years prior to retiring. We lived in the big town of Advance. My wife said we had to get closer to the water :) so we moved over to Sunset Beach.

Yes I know Advance, in my working days for what turned into Schneider Electric, most all the still running textile plants were my customers. Give me a yell, Port City Club is our close hangout, you can almost see our slip from the deck, then North Harbor Club is another good place.

Edit:
My bad just googled it, you guys are a bit of a hike to LN, your always welcome though

That was on a trip to Europe and the photo was taken in Cochem, Germany. Our boat (Viking River Cruises) stopped there for a day and we hiked all over town.
Beautiful. We are looking forward to our first Viking river cruise in Germany. You'll have to fill us in on your experience sometime (if you don't mind)

James, I could fill you in on our experiences with one word: Phenomenal

Our trip started in Zurich and we hit all the major rivers in Europe. Well, really but it felt like it. We spent 2 extra days in Paris and got to see Notre Dam before it burned down. If you haven't booked your room yet, try to get one as close to the bow as possible, and for meals get seats at the few tables on the bow. Grab those ASAP and they're yours for the rest of the cruise. That gives you great views as you dine instead of being crammed into the dining room where your views are limited.

Take all the walking tours you can get. The boats sail at night so you're in cities during the day. The walking tours are led by guides who are well informed about the sights.

We met some people on our first meal at the bow. They are from Atlanta and we still keep in touch with them.
