Took this in an anchorage the other morning. 20 years of Sundancer evolution.

1998 (290DA) -> 2018 (400DA)

I must say, I do too. The new 400 grew on me after a couple years. I still like being out in the open, but I can see the attraction of it.

It is definitely in response to customer input. The number of boaters complaining about canvas and saying their next boat will have little or no canvas is huge. With the addition of cockpit air to keep it comfortable the practical side is undeniable.

I still like the old lines but the younger boaters do not care about our nostalgia...

Just don't like those HUGE windows all over the hull, a little goes a long way, same thing with the smaller dancers, too big of windows in my opinion but to each is own ;)

As hard as I try I can’t wrap my head around those newer Sea Ray designs.

Ditto. Maybe I am showing my age, but I think a boat should look like a boat, not a futuristic spacecraft. A boat should have character, not hard lines and glass window hulls.

I, like most of you, love the lines on my boat but I really like some decent size windows in the hull and I don't mean the tiny ones that come on the 44DA.

That said, I have a friend with the new 400 Sundancer and that boat leaves me completely cold other than the interior is pretty.
