The time has come to sell Ay Lou...

This is a strong, fast, and maneuverable express cruiser, fresh from a trip to the San Juan Islands. Powered by Twin Mercruiser 5.0L EFI V8 240hp freshwater cooled engines with Bravo II Stern Drives. Equipped with aftermarket stainless steel 19-inch 4-blade propellers, she moves well.

Helm Includes Raymarine RL70C radar, gps, and chart plotter. Helm also includes depth sounder, Raymarine 210 VHF, and Raymarine L365 fishfinder. Galley includes a sink, Kenyon 2-burner alcohol/electric stove, and microwave. Head includes a VacuFlush head, vanity, and shower. Cabin includes a mid-berth area (sleeps 2), dinette table, and a separate convertible v-berth (sleeps 2 more).

Boat was not factory equipped with a generator, or windlass.

Included with the boat is the Avon Dinghy with Weaver Davits, spare factory aluminum 3-blade propellers, and a cockpit cover.

197 hours port / 881 hours starboard. Port engine was replaced with Mercruiser Long Block in 2015 at 677 hours, so gauge reads 874 hrs.

Reason for selling is going to another boat.

Recent Replacement Items show care for the boat: New Camper Canvas (except front) in 2019, New ProMariner 1240P Battery Charger in 2019, New LED lights in 2017, Cockpit carpets in 2016.

Engine mechanicals have been thoroughly gone over in Summer/Fall 2019: New port Alternator, New port Starter, New Impellers, New Starboard water circulating pump, Painted outdrive and touched up bottom paint, serviced outdrives, new port gimble bearing and bellows, new zincs and thermostats, change engine oil and filter. The bilge is clean and she is ready to go.

One weakness of these Bravo outdrives is that the factory installed main gimble steering pin in the outdrives are carbon steel. Not good for PNW boats near salt water. The pins on this boat were replaced with stainless in 2015.

SOLD! Very fortunate for both the buyer and I to have the deal wrap just as the Stay at Home order in WA state was in place.
I watched it leave my slip this am.
I think my wife (who is not the biggest fan of boating) will actually miss this boat. I know I will.

Congrats. They are great boats, I’m thinking of moving up as soon as we can find one but we’ll miss the 290 when the time comes im sure.

what did you move on to?

2007 340, 8.1 v drives. 330 hours. Wow are the engines strong.
Funny the trade offs between the boats. The 290 is so agile on the water at planing speeds; it responds to steering wheel inputs like a sports car. It handles pretty good around the docks too, once you know what you are doing.
The 340 turns a little slower at planing speeds, so you need to look further out for logs. But boy is it easy to dock; it feels so nimble with the v drives.

Another awesome boat. Those year 34s are huge and absolute rockets with the 8.1s. I’ve been on a friends a few times. They’re thirsty though :)

1.1 mpg or 0.8 mpg. They are both shades of not ideal gas mileage. And wonderful times.
