Last week I work up and found the factory original Norcold DE-461 cycling. The compressor was running continuously but would turn off and back on instantly every couple of seconds. I also noticed I had left the fridge door ajar all night while I slept. So I turned it off for a couple of hours, which defrosted it, and turned it back on. No change. Setting was at "4" of "5". I then turned the knob back slowly to see what happened and at "2" it changed to a 50% duty cycle, turning on for 15 seconds and then turning off for 15 seconds. So I left it that way and it has been working like that for a week now. It's keeping the fridge useable, but obviously not ideal. Is it at all possible this is something simple (like power supply internal part, or connection or easy to replace sensor, etc) or did the compressor get damaged and I should just buy a new one? Its been a great fridge. Kept everything nice and cold and the freezer worked great as well.
