2001 Sundancer 380

Just bought subject boat and want to change oil and filters on both engines (454 Mercruisers) and also on the Westerbeke generator. Any recommendations for brand and weight of oil? I am a fan of synthetic oil so probably going in that direction.

Thank you Chris. I was just viewing the operation manual and it said not to use synthetic oils which makes no sense to me. Do you think it was because that was the direction Mercury was providing 20 years ago in the owners manual? Thanks in advance for your comments.

I use synthetic in everything. This is what my merc mechanic recommended. It’s a blended synthetic
