Figured I would ask here first. I started to take apart my aft cabin in preparation for my A/C install and found a loose plug just hanging there. This plug is part of the wires that go from enging compartment to guage area. It is a 3 wire female plug that is shaped like a triangle.
There are 3 wires going to it and each wire has a number: 501,502,571. I attached some pictures below. I am hoping somebody may have a wiring diagram or recommend something.

There should be a detailed wiring schematic in your owners manual. If you are missing the owners manual, you can download the one for the 2004 model. For some reason the 2003 manual doesn't show in the Sea Ray archives. I believe all the manual regardless of years are pretty much the same (look at the dates shown on the first page of the manual). There is a wiring schematic starting on page 43. http://www.searay.com/owners_manuals.asp?tab=&year=2004&folder2=2004_240_SUNDANCER

Take your time and check the diagram for the matching wire numbers. Seing as how it ends there and the factory AC unit goes there, it might be the relay circuit for the raw water AC circ pump. Looks like those wires head into the bilge and that's the only AC component that's located in the bilge.

I found the wires on page 44 of the 2004 240DA manual. They are the wires for the optional discharge pump for the waste system.

Nice find JG;
I was just looking at my manual and it is for a 2002 240 sundancer :huh: I then looked onSea Ray's site for a 2003 manual and it is not showing one. I guess I would use the 04 edition as the 02 is different. Weird that there is not a manual for my year.

what kind of air conditioner are you installing? Brand, where did you get it?

I am looking to see if there was one for a 99 240DA.

I haven't purchased the unit yet. I was planning on going to the atlantic city boat show tomorrow to get one but it looks like mother nature is not going to cooperate. I will let you know what I go with. I am not sure if the 99 is setup the same way.
Thanks,
Luis
