Anybody have a good way to secure the engine hatch while trailering. The little rubber thing doesn't hold worth a crap and I'm worried of ripping it off at highway speeds. Thanks in advance.

What I did when we owned a few of them is always use the tonneau covers and close the windscreen door.... depending on the trailer setup and the door fit... the windscreen door can rub on the jam... so we put a rag between the two.... never had a problem trailering after that

Thanks, yes I tried that and if I hit a bump the wind screen door closes thus se dig all the wind to the back. I was hoping there was a cool way to securely latch it.

What year is yours?.. I had 2004 and newer... the windscreen door is the door under the helm...the latch that keeps it closed is the same latch that holds it open when it’s being used as a wind screen.
Never had a problem with it coming unlatched on multiple boats ...we had 4 240SD’s

Two part solution. Tie a knot in a line and put it under the door, the knot holds the door, and put the other side of the line tied to a floor cleat in the front.
Then, install a nylon strap with a screw into the engine hatch, and put a snap underneath it to keep it from flying up. I do this on every seat cushion also. After a 220, 4 240's, and a 270 Sundeck, nothing has blown away. An example visible on the side cushion of the 270.
