As far as slip availability, Holland would probably be best in the lower half of Lake Michigan.

As for when, last week of July or first week in August are my vacation periods for 2019, so that would be my vote.

Move it to Lake Erie and I'm in! Lol!

I’m in !
Possible Locations;
- Racine, WI. Lots of docks to accommodate larger group. Not that much to do in town.
- Milwaukee, WI. Great town for activities! DNR docks close to town and museums.
- Grand Haven, MI. Lot of CSR members, docks are sometimes limited because there are so many other events.

Time; Last week of July or first of August works for us also.

Thanks Mike, Let me know what I can do to help !

I'd be interested to meet some of you fine folks if you end up within a couple hours of Grand Haven, depending on timing.

If you guys were going to consider Grand Haven I'd say you would have no problem getting a bank of slips at Grand Isle. I'd bet last year we easily had 50+ slips vacant. Easy dinghy or bike access to downtown...

You'd want to avoid CG fest (July26 - August 4).

-Kenosha, WI, Marina is nice, town has a bunch of restaurants, micro-breweries, and a whinery, museums, etc for kids...pool at marina. Always seems to be some sort of festival going on. Tall ships will be in town Aug 2-4.

Just throwing it out there. Depending on your timing, we maybe game as we have no solid trips in the books yet.

Isn't it like every Saturday they have a farmers market of some sort.
And they are redoing the downtown. Several interesting places opening up. Do they have any public dockage for a day?

Yes, every Saturday morning is the farmers market. I know they will let you tie off at the fuel dock for a few hours, but other then that, not sure. Usually if we have friends that only want to come up for a few hours, they will let us know and can park them in an empty spot on our pier.

If SeaRay Corp. has any involvement in the Rendevous, they will want one of their dealers involved.
SkipperBuds has a location in Grand Haven and just South of Kenosha, in Winthrop Harbor.
In 2016 B&E Marine was involved, nobody from their dealership could make it to South Haven but they did give us a box of SeaRay hats to pass out. Back then we were real close to getting a new 560 Flybridge to join us, now they may just have smaller models.

Winthrop Harbor is my home port. There are tons of open slips and a harbor bar but otherwise is pretty sleepy. Skipper Buds has a large sales and service operation there. Racine is a short cruise north, which is a smallish Wisconsin town but not nearly as touristy as someplace like Grand Haven.

Milwaukee has a great lakefront and reasonable access to a wide variety of bars and restaurants. If there was enough space that would be a really good option on the west side of the lake. It is about 80 miles from Chicago or Muskegon, 90+ miles from South Haven, 100 miles from Michigan City. I would be in for an overnight.

If it was in Chicago I would not go. LOL

Milwaukee or Grand Haven would have my vote. Haven't been to GH in years so would be nice to visit again(probably make it there next summer whether the SR rendezvous is there or not). Milwaukee is an easy trip for us, plus lots to do in that city. I would like to exclude the weekends of 07/27 & 08/03. 07/27 will be taste of WI in Kenosha, and that is always a great time. and 08/03 is when the tall ships are scheduled to come to Kenosha for their annual event....definitely aren't missing this.

We are in hope you have better luck setting it up than I did in 2017, it was Jeff and us showed up for that one. I tryed to get Sea Ray to send something never heard back from them. We are going to Manistique 7-12 and to Door county Wi. Sturgeon bay 7-01. We will keep a eye on the post.

Count me in! I’m in Grand Haven and it would be great if it’s within a couple of hours.

We would be in. End of July, early August also. Eagleone, let me know when you plan on Sturgeon Bay. We are based there. Mike

Spikedaddy 99 not sure at this time wanted to go there last year motor problems.hoping this year is fault free.

saugatuck, Grand Haven, Pentwater, Leland, the list is endless. Maybe start a solid list of who will attend and figure a central port. Dorr Wi. Would be great as well. We are extremely blessed to have such an amazing body of water in our back yard!

Winthrop Harbor is also my home port. As Youbub mentioned - lots of available slips. First weekend in August is usually "Harbor Days" with Venetian Night - Boat Parade - Fireworks - Bands - daytime activities including an "in water boat show" by Skipper Buds.
